One of the biggest bands in the history of popular music is finally coming to Serbia! After selling out Hyde Park festival this year with 65,000 visitors in London, the news that The Cure giant will start the jubilee and possibly the last tour of the incredible 40 years of the band in 2019., has recently echoed around the world.
The famous Guardian magazine on the occasion of this great event states a well known band The Cure “stormed through the 1980s as the Beatles stormed through the sixties or Bowie through the seventies, wildly creative, constantly changing”, while the NME describes their recent show as “pure perfection” the great rock band, “at the height of their skill” and calling them “Divine Geniuses”.
The Cure will be absolute headliners on a small number of the biggest and most popular European festivals, and the charts of the first published dates for the 2019., sold out in record time. On the personal insistence of the band, EXIT festival, the current carrier of the “Best Major European Festival” title, is among the selected. With pleasure of the local audience, as well as guests from around the world, The Cure will perform for the first time in Serbia and the region on July 4th at the Petrovaradin Fortress.
